Created
by medical professionals, for use by medical professionals
The
Drip Alert™ IV flow rate monitor was invented by Dr. Barry A Goldberg,
D.V.M. so many years ago. It was a fairly routine occurrence to have a
wrestles patient crimp or dislodge an IV, only for the caregiver to find
out at a later time. The need was obvious, Alerting the care giver
immediately could prevent numerous problems and lead to better patient
care.
Dr
Goldberg wasn’t satisfied with the bulky units available at the time.
Not every facility has the space to dedicate to a bulky unit. Nor should
such a device with a simple but necessary task require a medical degree
to operate. The goal was to create a unit that meets the following
criteria:
-
Intuitive
design – From intern to RN, operation requires no special
training.
-
Self
contained power supply – AAA Batteries last over 30 days with
continual use.
-
Self-mounting
– Easily mounts on all common drip chambers.
-
Compact
– Entire unit fits in the palm of your hand.
-
Precise
– Detects drip anomalies as subtle as .03%
-
Reliable
– The only monitor that works without electricity.
-
Cost
effective – Multiple Drip Alerts cost less than a single competing
unit.
After
years of testing, refining, and actual field use, the Drip Alert™ IV
flow rate monitor was finally ready for distribution.
In
addition to Drip Alert™ , Dr. Goldberg holds numerous patents for a
wide range of personal and medical related items, some of which have
become familiar household names. Dr. Goldberg has also maintains a
highly successful private practice clinic he established thirty years
ago. Pride and dedication show. |
