The Drip Alert™ IV flow rate monitor is an innovative solution to detecting flow irregularities. The small self-contained unit instantly detects even subtle anomalies and alerts the administrator with a distinct audible tone. Once a predetermined drip rate is established, the unit's sensor monitors the drip flow, each drop will break the beam signaling the microprocessor. The microprocessor monitors the average drip intervals, if the flow should fall out of the acceptable range of variation Drip-Alert sounds an alarm.
